Adriana Sanford, J.D., dual LL.M, is an international legal practitioner with decades of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts for companies and banks, including major California agricultural companies, Chilean wineries, international trading companies, and trade finance banks. Her agreements include, among others, distribution agreements, purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, non-compete agreements, vendor agreements, equipment financing agreements, syndicated loan agreements, and promissory notes.
She is also an award-winning cybersecurity and global privacy laws expert, an international recognized global threats expert, author, educator, humanitarian, and international television commentator who appears regularly as a CNN Español analyst to over 93 million viewers throughout the United States and Latin America. With multiple law degrees from leading law schools and fluency in four languages, she provides keynote addresses at some of the world’s top technology, IT, security, legal, and compliance industry conferences. In addition to being Corporate Counsel’s keynote to hundreds of General Counsel and senior legal leaders from Fortune 1000 companies at the 19th Annual SuperConference, she is Private Equity International’s keynote to hundreds of Chief Compliance Officers and compliance professionals for the upcoming Private Fund Compliance Forum in 2021 and has been featured at more than 140 industry conferences in the United States, Europe, and in Latin America.
She has educated tens of thousands of corporate executives, thousands of college students, and the public at large. She has also served on the Advisory Committee of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative and as a delegate to the APEC CEO Summit in Chile. In addition the world’s largest institute for supply chain leaders, Institute for Supply Management, adopted two books she coauthored with other recognized experts including Puga Ortiz attorney Cristian Edwards.
The former Fortune 10 Regional Counsel is also an international resource for the global community at the University of Oklahoma, where she founded and presides over an internationally recognized leadership forum. The OU Global Risks & Threats Series Leadership Forum has brought together world leaders from the intelligence, finance, law enforcement, corporate and cyber sectors to discuss COVID-19 pandemic-related challenges and offer remote workforce solutions. At the university, she is also Acting Director of Executive Education at OU’s Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business, Senior Fellow at the OU Center for Intelligence and National Security, and Faculty Member at the Michael F. Price College of Business. She produces the virtual series The Sanford & Hall Report with retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Garry E. Hall, which is available to the global community and discusses global security concerns and economic recovery in a post-COVID-19 world.
