CONSUELO MACKENNA LEIGHTON

In June 2024, Consuelo Mackenna Leighton joined the team of partner lawyer Cristián Carmona in the Corporate Finance area.

Consuelo is a lawyer from the Adolfo Ibáñez University and has a Diploma in Taxation Applied to Business from the Adolfo Ibáñez University and an LL.M in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law, Fordham University, USA.

Consuelo Mackenna previously served as senior corporate lawyer at Banco Itaú, reporting directly to the Bank’s Prosecutor, its subsidiaries and related parties, both in Chile and abroad. Likewise, she participated as a legal advisor in banking, financial, corporate regulation, securities markets, insurance, compliance, among other topics.

She was Secretary of the Board of Directors of Itaú Gestión General de Fondos S.A:, Itaú Corredora de Bolsa and Fundación Itaú. Participated in the merger process between Banco Itaú and Corpbanca, its subsidiaries and other M&A projects and relations with regulators.
In the United States she was an associate attorney at the firm Sterlington, PLLC and later in Chile she was a partner in the Corporate area of ​​Apparcel Uriarte Abogados.
