Experience
He has practiced civil, commercial and corporate law in as well as economic criminal law. He has vast experience in court litigation in these areas and provides corporate counseling and assistance to the Boards of Directors of companies and Family Offices.

His career has also been marked by business restructurings, acquisitions and sales of companies, and the restructuring of liabilities of financially troubled companies, including judicial liquidation or judicial reorganization agreements.

Awards and Honors
He was named one of the best Criminal Defense and Civil Rights attorneys by Best Lawyers.

Education
He was admitted in 1969 after earning his degree from the Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

Academia
He was a professor at the Department of Criminal Science of the Law School of the Catholic University of Santiago, Chile, from 1970 to 1973 and at the Criminal Law Department of the University of Chile Law School from 1975 to 1987.

Activities and Memberships
Luis has been a director and legal counsel to diverse domestic and foreign companies that hold investments in Chile. He is currently a director of Consorcio Industrial de Alimentos S.A. and of the related holding company, a director at A. Hartrodt Chile S.A., of the parent company of Inmobiliaria PY S.A. and of Constructora Carran S.A. He is chairman of the board of Sociedad de Deportes Cascada de El Salto S.A. He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association, of the International Association of Penal Law and of the Criminal Science Institute. He is an arbitrator for the National Arbitration Center of Chile in commercial and civil law disputes. He was chairman of the Board of the Fundación Regazo and chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Equestrian Federation of Chile.

He has practiced the professional of law freely at Puga Ortiz, without interruption, and he is one of the senior partners.
